By February end, 522 MSOs were granted with provisional licences for DAS across states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Telangana, Odisha, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
MIB has further granted licences to 26 additional MSO’s across all states.
While the total number reaches to 525, MIB further cancels licences of 3 MSO’s such as Manthan Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd from West Bengal, Den Manoranjan Satellite Pvt. Ltd. from Maharashtra and Den Ambey Cable Networks Pvt. Ltd from Uttar Pradesh.
